Dr Giedrė Milerytė-Japertienė is a Lithuanian historian and Deputy Director General for Research and Outreach at the National Museum of Lithuania. Previously, she served as Head of the Lithuanian Studies Unit at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. Her research and professional work focus on diaspora archives, documentary heritage, and cultural memory.
She has extensive experience working with Lithuanian diaspora collections in Europe and North America, leading projects on their preservation, digitisation, and international accessibility. An internationally recognised expert on Lithuanian diaspora documentary heritage, she has contributed to numerous publications and collaborative initiatives connecting dispersed archival collections with researchers and the public
