About me
Archive expert at the Latvian State Archive of Audiovisual Documents, where she works in the Access and Inquiry Department, specializing in database monitoring, metadata creation, and maintaining classification systems. Victorija holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in library, information, and archive studies from the University of Latvia, focusing on information behavior and metadata’s role in cultural heritage access. She's active in professional archival communities, contributing interviews to the ICA “Beyond Theory” series and participating in international events, including the 2024 Image & Research Conference in Girona, Spain. Viktorija has also published on metadata significance in the journal Latvijas Arhīvi. Her interests include applying artificial intelligence to improve archival description and accessibility.
