About me
pianist and musicologist, senior research fellow at theArchives for 20 th -21 st -Century Hungarian Music at theInstitute for Musicology ELTE RCH and acting director ofthe Library of the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy. Hisresearch focuses on the history of the recorded sound,discography and performance practice. His most importantpublications include monographs on the opera singers KarelBurian and Elza Szamosi, as well as books and studies thatare the first to explore the events and phenomena of thehistory of Hungarian sound recording with a scientificapproach. Besides several postdoctoral scholarships, he wonthe Edison Fellowship of the British Library, and the JánosBolyai research grant from the Hungarian Academy ofSciences (2022–2025). As part of his research as a BolyaiFellow, he wrote a monograph on the history and methodologyof discography. In 2022 he won the „Best Discography” awardof the Association for Recorded Sound Collections with hisedited volume “Eritis mihi testes” Sound Recordings of the1938 International Eucharistic Congress (Budapest: OSZK,2021).
