About me
Patrick Midtlyng is the Head of the Recorded Sound Section at the Library of Congress’s National Audio-Visual Conservation Center in Culpeper, VA. He is responsible for the management and direction of the Recorded Sound Section and oversees all aspects of the National Collection under the Section’s care. Before coming to the Library, Patrick was the Audio and Moving Image Archivist at the Special Collections Research Center at Syracuse University where he oversaw the media collections of the Center, which also included University Archives and The Belfer Audio Archive.Previously, Patrick has served on as the Vice President/Program Chair of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections and as the Chair of the Audio and Moving Image Section of the Society of American Archivists.
