About me
Oleksandr Teliuk is a film archivist, scholar, artist, and currently a postgraduate researcher at Queen Mary University of London. As a film archivist, he worked at the Dovzhenko Center, the Ukrainian state film archive (2015–23), where he headed the non-film archives department and co-edited several books. In 2024, he received a Certificate from the L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation, The George Eastman Museum (Rochester, NY, USA), and worked as a research assistant on the FIAF’s Film Atlas project. As a film curator, he has programmed numerous retrospectives of experimental, archival and Ukrainian cinema. The most recent one was at the BAMPFA (Berkeley, USA) in April 2025, organised along with the Ukrainian Film Symposium. As an artist, he is a co-founder of ruїns collective and has participated in a number of collective exhibitions and international film festivals.
