About me
Ketevan Davitashvili is a performer, sound artist, and archivist from Tbilisi, Georgia. She works as an archivist at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and specializes in the digitization of unique recordings of Georgian folk songs and interviews from magnetic tapes at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire.Her interdisciplinary practice spans sound performance and installation, often incorporating self-built instruments and research-driven methodologies to address themes such as gender inequality, environmental struggles, and marginalized narratives. Alongisde her artistic work, she has developed educational, community-based projects where she works with young people across Georgia through workshops and performances.She is a recipient of the Dietrich Schüller Award and the Prince Claus Seed Award, and will begin the FilmMemory Joint MA in Film Archiving in September. Ketevan currently serves as an officer of IASA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
