Opening ceremony will take place in Merchant's club in the heart of
Vilnius. The splendid Palace was built in 1913 by a public organization
the General Meeting of Trade and Industry or the so-called Merchant's
Club which at that time included the richest and publicly known
residents of Vilnius City. Nowadays it is a modern bussiness centre also
offering venues for different events. The three-meter sculpture of Atlas
decorates the current Merchant's club as well.
During the opening ceremony the conference participants will enjoy snacks, drinks and
informal talks. Lithuanian folk band will make a short performance and
invite to dance some traditional folk dances.
